Ok, let's stop this craaaaaazy madness right now!  What does YOUR BODY say you should eat?  Not sure?  Great!  Because I'm going to help you and your family make sense of all of this and move forwards with your life.  It's actually easier than you think, it simply boils down to PERSONALISED COACHING...not a faceless diet book or diet group meeting.

Pain is not a codeine or Brufen deficiency.  What you EAT becomes you.  No, we don't just eat to "fill up", all that food you are eating is metabolised into the building blocks that help you function 24 hours a day....for the next 90 or so years of your life.  Try it, go and eat chocolate all day long for a week and tell me how amazing your body feels - you'll start to see that what you eat, becomes how you feel.
 

Emotional eaters & Binge Eaters I WANT YOU!

Once you've had Binge Eating Disorder for 27 years and RECOVERED from it, you really start to learn a thing or two about the psychology of food.  Would you like NUTRITIONAL COACHING (counselling, whatever you want to call it)?  We don't use the word "excuses" here - I hate it.  Instead I want to hear the challenges you face, while we uncover the deep reasons why you eat when you're not even hungry.  I respect OA, but I totally disagree with what I hear about their attitude that you will always be a binge eater...What a pile of RUBBISH.  If you REALLY want your dysfunctional eating solved, then let's stop mucking around and get to work on it properly.  I know what I'm talking about when it comes to clinical Binge Eating Disorder and emotional eating, you cannot shock or surprise me, so let's share stories and help you to move forwards with your life.
 

Getting real.

If you are NOT getting relief from your issue within 3 months, then the approach you are currently using isn't working for you.  Your body WANTS to correct itself and be balanced, it just needs your help.  So stop banging your head against the same wall and move on.  If I don't get relief for you in 3 months I will PERSONALLY refer you to other people who I think can help.  There is NO WAY I will hold on to a client that I'm unable to help, my goal is to have you feeling better, and if my way doesn't work, I will find you some way that will - yes I DO ACTUALLY CARE about you.

What can I help you with? 

Lower your cholesterol, solve your bloating, constipation and irritable bowel issues, increase energy and reduce stress. Bring me your nutrition problem and I will present realistic and achievable solutions. My approach is integrated and corrective. Not all issues are nutrition related and along with your nutrition plan you may be asked to look at other areas.  There are a whole range of medical conditions that can contribute to health concerns, but here’s where we draw the line – if all the doctors’ visits and tests aren’t helping you then we need to look at your body’s inputs, and one of these inputs is nutrition. I will assess your case and provide the relevant nutrition strategy for you.  I am trained to look at the body as an entire system and if necessary I will refer you to other practitioners that I feel you need, and also provide other lifestyle strategies. I may even refer you back to your Doctor if I believe it is a medical issue. I can help you with the following:
  • Lowering cholesterol and improving blood glucose readings
  • Improving fatigue and energy levels and management of stress and adrenal fatigue (or burnout)
  • Emotional eating and binge eating disorder
  • IBS, acid reflux and suspected food intolerance management
  • Practical Management of gluten free diets

I specialise in teaching you how to manage your own sports nutrition. I will provide you with a relevant plan and guidance on how to get the best out of your nutrition at any stage of your sporting life. I will address the following areas with you:

  • Carbohydrate, protein and fat requirements
  • Electrolytes and hydration
  • Making “weight” for your sport
  • Overtraining and adrenal fatigue
  • Nutritional management for the diabetic athlete

Preventing disease, fatigue and obesity is largely controlled by what we eat. We don’t learn this stuff at school, but it doesn’t mean you can’t learn it now! I will keep it simple and practical for you and your family. And yes, you will learn quite a lot along the way that you can share with your friends. It’s about creating a healthier NZ from the grass roots! Some of the things you will learn:
